Wicked Good Cupcakes: Cupcakes in a Jar

Product provided to me from Wicked Good Cupcakes.  All opinions are my own.

Here at The Funky Monkey, we love to expose our readers to unique and innovative products.  We are so excited to introduce you to Wicked Good Cupcakes!  This mother-daughter team, Tracey Noonan and Danielle Desroches, took cake-decorating classes to spend quality time together.  After posting their work online, friends and family were asking them to create cupcakes for various events.  The demand became so high that they opened up their first retail location in October 2011.

As their product gained popularity, they received hundreds of requests to ship their products across the country.  However, there was not a way they could effectively ship their cupcakes and have them arrive fresh and intact.  That's when their brilliant idea was born.  A cupcake in a jar.

In 2013, this duo appeared on ABC's Shark Tank and partnered with Kevin O'leary.  Since then, they have opened two retail locations in MA.  Each jar is still created from scratch with no mixes.  They truly care about the quality of their products and want to deliver home made taste right to your door!

I was recently sent their delicious Wicked Good 6 Pack.  Each jar contains their moist and decadent cupcakes layered with a variety of yummy fillings.  And they all come topped with their world famous frosting.  Their jars do not contain preservatives and last up to 10 days without refrigeration.

Here's what you'll find inside each 8 oz. jar:

  • Chocolate Lab - Moist chocolate cake with a rich chocolate ganache center, chocolate buttercream frosting
  • National (Security) Velvet - Traditional southern style, red velvet cake layered with their homemade cream cheese buttercream frosting - My favorite!
  • Natalie's 24 Karat Kake - Classic carrot cake baked with shredded carrots, walnuts and chocolate chips layered with their homemade cream cheese, buttercream frosting and topped with a walnut
  • Cookies n Cream - Vanilla cake loaded with oreo cookie bits layered with Madagascar Bourbon vanilla cream cheese
  • The Wicked Good - Peanut butter and chocolate chips baked to almost "Cookie-like" perfection layered with peanut butter frosting and chocolate ganache.
  • Sea Salted Caramel - A vanilla cupcake layered between drizzles of homemade caramel sauce and their amazing sea salted cream cheese, buttercream, caramel frosting.  Sprinked with nonpareils.

I know what you're thinking...too good to be true, right?!  They're mighty good with frosting in every bite! You'll definitely want to hand these out for Christmas this year.  Everyone will thank you for your awesomely good taste!

And if you thought Wicked Good Cupcakes couldn't get any better, this company is helping to bring a Taste of Home to our men and women serving in the military this holiday season.  The founders of this amazing company have always believed in doing what they can to help the community.  Wicked Good Cupcakes will be sending their famous home made cupcakes in a jar to our troops at Camp Brown in Kandahar Afghanistan and Firebase Shank in the Logar Province of Afghanistan.

Here's how you can help!  Join this national sensation by pledging to send a jar before Monday, December 10, 2013 to send our troops a Taste of Home!  You can choose to send as many jars as you would like, and you can include a personal message.  This company will organize and cover all shipping costs and the remaining proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.  For more information, click here.
