JOBY: GorillaTorch Switchback {Rafflecopter Giveaway}

JOBY Gorilla Torch Switchback - A headlamp and lanern with multiple settings in one!  Get projects done even in low light conditions.  Initially I was going to toss this into my emergency backpack where I keep items such as my first aid kit, flashlight, portable radio, etc.  However, the Switchback is so handy that I use it ALL THE TIME!  It stays where I can easily get to it.

So far, I've used the Switchback on so many precision projects.  I've cut into my car with a Dremel tool, applied touch-up paint at night with excellent results, installed my car stereo and even barbecued a prime grade rib eye steak at night!  The headlamp is so handy.

Lantern Setting - The lantern is collapsible which makes stowing easy for travel at 6.5"x3.3"x2.1" in size.  When ready to use, just pull on the ultra-efficient holographic lens which provides brilliant, even light.  Included are two AA batteries.  The light comes from five poweful LEDs:  1 ultra-bright light, 2 white flood lights, or 2 red LEDs to help preserve night vision.  The light can be mounted in three ways, hung from the fold-in hook, secured on the bendable GorillaPod Tripod, or simply placed on a flat surface.

Headlamp Setting - This feature is what I have used most between the two.  The handband is ergonomic and very comfortable around my head.  I love how I can tilt the light up or down to perfectly light up what I am working on.  There are four light settings.  The ultra-bright white setting directly illuminates giving off 130 Lumens with CREE XLamp XP-G LED.

It can also be toned down to preserve your batteries by pressing a button on the IPX-4 water resistant control module, which still gives a direct illumination.  Two white flood LED setting illuminates with 14 Lumens by giving off an indirect stream of light.  Last but not least, the two red LED setting giving off 3 Lumens, can be used to help prevent night vision.

Bottom Line:  If you want a 2-in-1 lantern and headlamp for your emergency kit, this light from JOBY should be at the top of your list!  If you're like me and like to get projects done regardless of light conditions, you will find using this light is the way to go.
