DIY: Ruffled Wire Ribbon Lamp Shade

Here is an adorable DIY project for you today!  I found this ruffled lamp shade tutorial over at Craft-O-Matic.  Once I saw how easy it was, I rushed over to the craft store to pick up some ribbon.  Lucky me, I found the exact same patterned wire ribbon that was used in the tutorial.  Score!

My lamp was a $3 yard sale find.  It was red and I painted it pink with Krylon raspberry gloss spray paint that I picked up from Wal-Mart.  Easy peasy!  This gave it a streak-free professional finish in minutes.  Don't pass up an ugly lamp, ladies.  These babies can be transformed in no time!

Head on over to Craft-O-Matic to view the tutorial.  There are lots of photos and clear instructions. It's such a fun project that will really spice up your old lamp shades.  The possibilities are endless!

Have fun!
