CRKT: Ripple by Ken Onion - Father's Day Gift Idea

CRKT RIPPLE by Ken Onion - ALL DADS NEED a knife like this!  Father's Day is June 17th and here's a great and functional present for your handy dad!  I own several knives from CRKT, and the Ripple is my new favorite for everyday carry.  It is the slimmest, lightest, and best cutting tool if you are seeking clean cuts.  I slip this knife into my khakis for work and forget it's in my pocket until I need to use it.

Opened, the overall length is 7.5" and closed is 4.33" at a lightweight 2.5 oz.  The blade length is 3.125" and .1" thick made from 8CR14MoV with a satin finish, hollow grind, and Ken Onion Drop Point.  The handle is made from 6061 Aluminum which is hard anodized treated with over 40 lightening holes and small ripples.

The blade locks into place with a frame lock and opens smoothly with the IKBS system.  The IKBS ball-bearing system uses 8 un-caged ball bearings on each side of the blade for durability and low maintenance.

Bottom Line - Need an affordable knife that disappears into your pocket and makes clean cuts?  The CRKT Ripple by Ken Onion is the knife to get the job done!

If you're looking for an introductory knife for your son (7+ and older), I encourage you to take a look at the Nathan's Knife Kit from CRKT.  This pre-cut, easily assembled softwood knife kit is great for an easy first woodworking project.  Dads can help their children get acquainted with knife safety and responsibility.

Complimentary product provided from CRKT for this review. All opinions are my own.
