RadioShack: NOOK Color eReader

eBooks are the latest and greatest right now so I bet you can guess how thrilled I was to review the NOOK Color eReader from RadioShack.

msnbc.com calls it the "Best value tablet in the world" - I can definitely see why.

This award winning NOOK Color gives you a wonderful reading experience plus tablet essentials.  There are over 2.5 million books, magazines, newspapers, interactive kids' books, graphic novels and comics.  Whew...so much to explore!

That's not all...PLUS email with the built-in web browser, thousands of popular apps such as Angry Birds and SCRABBLE, the hottest music services, web with Adobe Flash Player, and movies and TV programs through Netflix.

You can also add a memory card for pictures, music and other personal files.  Easily transfer photos, music and files.

This is a fantastic eReader for the money.  I am impressed with the overall resolution and vivid colors on the NOOK Color.  The beautiful 7" touchscreen is responsive with minimal glare and navigation is easy.  I found the touch keyboard easy to use.

The built-in speaker sound is great as I listen to Pandora every single day.  There is a 3mm headphone jack if needed.

As always, your NOOK Color will come with free NOOK support at your local Barnes & Noble.  Shopping is so easy on this device.

Books are easy to download, and I can read in bed at night without turning on the light thanks to the backlit screen.  My husband is thoroughly grateful.  You can customize the settings if your eyesight is poor.

I also LOVE the full color magazines!  They look so crisp and clear on the screen.  This is a huge paper saver because I read a ton.  My husband thanks RadioShack for the dwindling piles of magazines in our home.  I'm sure our environment thanks them, too!  You can also flip through magazine pages while skipping ads.

For kids, there is a Read to Me feature.  Children can follow along with the voice/reader while viewing books.  This is a great feature if you have young kids and if you're traveling. Think less noise, happier mom!

My kids love the NOOK Color and children can engage with its special alive touch feature.

Oh yes, and let's not forget the slim design.  It's obvious that a lot of thought went into creating the NOOK Color.  This is one sleek, sexy piece of technology.  It's lightweight (less than 1 pound), easy to handle (less than 1/2 inch thin), and can go with you anywhere.  The overall unit feels durable in your hands, and the soft touch rubber backing is comfortable and prevents sliding.

Let's review some specs, shall we:
