Money Savvy Generation: Money Savvy Pig Bank Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to the lucky winner ~ pixie13 #23!

Why not start your kids early on the importance of being SMART about money. There is no bigger trap than to find yourself drowning in debt.

I received this really cool Money Savvy Pig Bank from Money Savvy Generation. As you can see, there are four separate translucent sections to place the money in - Save, Spend, Donate and Invest. Having this bank at home has brought on a lot of questions. What is investing? Who should I donate to? This has opened up new ways to educate our children about the importance of saving.

This bank comes in a variety of colors - red, blue, green, pink, purple and platinum.

Here is more about it from their website:

One slot piggy banks have been around for....centuries. But the world has changed. Now we have a highly sophisticated financial system, a system whose complexity has outstripped the ability of most adults, many of whom grapple with credit card debt, even bankruptcy.

Personal finance education needs to start young. How? With the same universally loved childhood toy, the piggy bank....but with a 21st century twist! The Money Savvy Pig piggy bank has four chambers, one for each of the four money management choices a child should be taught from the time they are small. They are SAVE, SPEND, DONATE, and INVEST.

I think this bank is a great idea. My kids really enjoy using it.

One lucky reader will win a Money Savvy Pig Bank!

  41. Thanks for the giveaway...Money Savvy Generation was founded to teach money management basics to elementary school aged children, a segment of our educational system virtually untouched because of the perceived complexity of the subject matter.
