Al Dente Pasta: Tasty Trio Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed with 417 comments. Thank you to all who entered. Congratulations to the lucky winner ~ Jackie!

First of all, I have never seen pasta packaged so beautifully. I must say I've never tasted pasta quite like Al Dente either. We're pasta lovers around here and eat it probably more than any other meal in my home.

My family really enjoyed the three varieties I received. We accompanied their Egg Fettuccine with some creamy alfredo sauce and it was delicious. In just three minutes, I had beautiful pasta. Not only does it taste wonderful, it saves me time! This is the perfect, easy to go to meal that I am happy to serve my family.

"Perfect for any occasion, any recipe, whether it is chicken soup, fettuccine alfredo or simply pasta with fresh tomatoes, olive oil and Parmesan cheese. Parents from all over the country write to us saying that even their kids can tell the difference between Al Dente Egg Fettuccine and others. That makes us feel so good!"

Here is a bit more about this company from their website:

"When Monique started Al Dente, under the tutelage of Marcella Hazan, she promised to herself that she would never stray from the original advice that was going to set Al Dente apart from all other pastas. Monique made the decision to produce a pasta in the style of Northern Italy-an egg noodle, sheeted rather than extruded, that would have the texture of homemade pasta as well as a 3 minute cooking time. Honoring the tradition of generations of pasta makers, Al Dente is one of the few companies in the world who rolls out the dough instead of extruding, in particular because it is the most time consuming way to make pasta. But, it is the only way to make a pasta that is tender but firm, just like the pasta an Italian grandmother would make in her own kitchen."

Their Spinach Fettuccine is quite delicious as well. I loved how it added a nice color to my dish and tasted great. Even my very picky son enjoyed this variety. One thing I love about Al Dente pasta is that it doesn't feel heavy. It has a very unique texture that we all enjoy.

You hear all the health benefits of whole wheat pasta in the media today. Al Dente's Whole Wheat Blend is good for you and good for your belly. My children loved it and I felt happier about giving them this very healthy variety for their growing bodies.

"This delicious, nutritious pasta boasts 6 grams of fiber and 390mg. of ALA omega 3 yet still has the same amazing home-made, “tender, but firm” texture that has made Al Dente® pastafamous since 1981. Here’s to good food and good health!"

Al Dente pasta and sauces can be purchased through their online store or in fine food stores around the country. They even have a nice recipe section on their website. How helpful!

Al Dente would like to offer one lucky reader their Tasty Trio! You get to choose your two pasta varieties and one sauce!

What I LOVE about this company is that they offer the Carba-Nada line of pastas featuring a pasta that is lower in carbs. I mean you cannot find a low carb pasta anywhere, and being diabetic this is VERY important to me. :)

Something else I learned about this company is the Sauces are all fairly low in carbs as well. I mean under 10g of Total Carbs for each serving - that is amazing!!!

cdziuba said...

I love this company because their flavors and pasta types aren't wacky and strange, they're food my family would eat!

cdziuba said...

Here's something else about the company:

The new, eye-catching label design on the new line of Organic Duets help to set them
apart from the Al Dente Classics, but the trademark black and white checkerboard tape at
the top of the bag along with the Al Dente name and logo guarantees that discriminating
shoppers will recognize that it is made by their favorite American pasta makers.

In Michigan, however, I am a bona fide “local” and Al Dente Pasta is truly a local product. Not many states can boast having their own artisanal pasta company that is, in fact, known all around the country. Some people have said that Al Dente has put Whitmore Lake on the map. I don’t know about that, but it’s a generous thing to say.

I'd pick the Marinara Sauce and the Garlic Parsley Pasta.

denyse said...

I love that they do this: We start with the best ingredients—100% durum semolina flour. There is only 3/4 of an egg per bag of pasta.

denyse said...

I love and also learned this: A slow-drying process dries the pasta uniformly so the AL DENTE pasta is tender but firm pasta that cooks to al dente perfection in just three minutes.
