Carson - Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed with 485 comments. Thank you to all who entered. Congratulations to the lucky winner ~ JamericanSpice!

My son is so intrigued with science. This is a subject that just fascinates him. With that in mind, I bet you can guess how excited he was to see the zOrb from Carson in action.

The zOrb comes in three colors - Lava Orange, Surf Blue and Safari Green. I received their Lava Orange color. This compact digital microscope is absolutely astonishing. It weighs only 3.6 oz. We have used this on just about everything in our home. My son especially loves to magnify money, like the photo you see below, as well as a variety of items such as insects, rocks and flowers.

The zOrb's magnification is 35x! You will be amazed at all the detail you'll see on your computer screen. So much power in such a compact little thing! This isn't just for kids. Adults can really get into this too. I think the zOrb would be a great tool for a classroom or daycare. The children would love it. What a great way to get kids excited about learning.

Here is the item description from their website:

"The MM-480 zOrb from Carson Optical is a Digital Microscope with an integrated camera that displays the magnified image right on your computer screen. The impressive 35x Magnification (14" monitor) allows you to see details of ordinary objects you never knew existed! The built-in internal illuminator ensures a clear and bright image. The zOrb Digital Microscope comes in 3 colors: Surf Blue, Safari Green and Lava Orange. Capture an image to keep using the built-in 640 x 480 resolution digital camera. You can even capture close-focus video with the zOrb! The zOrb is compatible with Microsoft Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, XP Service Pack 3 Upgrade, Vista and MAC OSX 10.4 or later. A USB 2.0 port is required. "

Carson would like to offer one lucky reader a zOrb!

And if I won this honestly I would keep it for my kids to use, although I know I would really want to use it, also! We are really into microscopes and such! In fact, years ago I had the most fantastic article saved from a National geographic that was all about microscoptic images and it showed a flea and the parasites that lived ON the flea, and so on. I just think things like this are so educational and fun!
