We're used ours on hikes and sporting events and I must say it's great. Just because it's small doesn't mean it's not high quality. All of the products I have experienced from Carson have been top notch. The Scout binoculars are perfect for our on-the-go family life. I love that we can carry it around with ease. I can pop it in my purse, tote bag, or jacket pocket and I'm all set. It's definitely very easy to take along.
