Ahnu: Footwear Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed with 613 comments. Thank you to all who entered. Congratulations to the lucky winner ~ Naddez!

Comfortable, cutting-edge footwear for families. That is what I think of when I think of Ahnu. This fabulous company offers shoes for men, women, and kids. I was able to try out a pair for every one in the family and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed.

My daughter received their Benicia. These are amazing. I love the whole Mary Jane meets the rugged outdoors style going on here! I chose to review the black and love everything about this shoe from its fantastic materials, construction, comfort and style. They feature a velcro strap which is terrific. I can't stand shoes that take forever to put on. We're a busy family and these shoes help keep us on the go. My daughter loves them too and wants to wear them all the time. They come in 5 colors: Black, Dawn Pink, Velvet and Smokey Brown. They all look super!

My son adores their Bridge style. They come in two different colors - Castlerock Grey and Smokey Brown. Both colors are great and they're a very versatile shoe. Again, easy velcro closure and lovely leather material. This sleek shoe is perfect with a variety of outfits and wonderful for daily wear.

I was able to try out their Tamalpais II. I love a good hike and these are perfect for all of my outdoor activities with the family. They come in three colors: Coffee, Dark Grey and Garnet. They offer excellent support and are very comfortable. I also love the closure on these shoes. No more bending down to tie my shoes. What a unique and helpful feature.

My husband seriously loves his Reyes. They come in two colors: Dark Gray and Smokey Brown. This shoe is a combination sandal/sneaker and is so nice to have for the Spring and Summer. This sandal features a closed toe and is nice use on walks and light hiking. These shoes are wonderful to wear daily and my husband enjoys the comfortable fit and how breathable these shoes are.
Ahnu is good for our environment too. Here is some important information from their website:

"Our environmental commitment is all encompassing. Utilizing sustainable materials such as hemp and charred bamboo in our product line is just a start. Additionally, a significant portion of our ownership is held in trust on behalf of outdoor and environmental nonprofits. That means that one of our owners is in fact, the great outdoors.

When a major stakeholder is Mother Nature, herself, it adds a whole new level of accountability for the world we live in. So beyond our usual recycling, reducing and reusing, we're securing a position towards what's important to us as a company. And while the environment is important, so are the inhabitants. We believe that making a difference starts with people. Just ask our factory employees. We are proud to say we utilize only factories who have received SA8000 certification (emphasizing social responsibility). And at home, we encourage all employees to participate in volunteering efforts to help make a difference."

Ahnu is a superb footwear company that offers helpful and welcoming customer service. I'm so thankful I have had the opportunity to test out their products. It was such a pleasure working with them. Their website is so easy to navigate through and you will find a marvelous selection of outdoor shoes.

Ahnu would like to offer one lucky reader a pair of shoes for an adult and child! How generous!
