Skuut: Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed with 504 comments. Thank you to all who entered. Congratulations to the lucky winner ~ Lori!

I am so very excited to introduce you to a company that is quite phenomenal. Skuut is a company that creates an amazing bike for kids. It's innovative design helps eliminate the fear of riding a bike for the first time. My daughter has been riding a bike with training wheels, but her Skuut has become her new best friend.

Here is a little bit of information about the bike:

"The Skuut is a wooden bike for children ages 2 - 5. It has no pedals and no training wheels. Children kick off the ground as if running, thus pushing or "skuut-ing" themselves and the bike forward. The Skuut is perfect for learning balance, steering, coordination and independence. Having mastered balance on the Skuut, the transition to a traditional two wheeler bike is easy.
It is amazingly intuitive. Sitting on the Skuut, kids first walk the bike forward. As they go faster they stride with feet off the ground for longer and longer periods of time, ultimately being able to pull both feet off the ground and coast. At first they tilt to one side or the other and their feet catch them like training wheels or a tripod would. Very quickly balance becomes second nature and they can coast for yards with their feet off the ground. Braking is done Fred Flintstone style: just put your feet down and stop."

My husband is a huge biking fan and keeps up with the latest trends. He was very excited to put this together for our 4 1/2 year old daughter. It was a snap. In no time the Skuut was built and off my daughter went to have some fun. He commented on what a great design it was and how innovative Skuut truly is.

My daughter is getting the hang of pushing off with her feet and coasting. With a little more practice, she'll have it down and she'll be flying like the children on their website. Click here to see the Skuut in action. It's so incredible!

The minute my 7 year old saw the Skuut he asked where the pedals were. That's what's so cool about this bike for younger children. You don't need any!

The Skuut is lightweight, comes with its own bike stand and is durable. This bike is made to last. The construction of this bike is wonderful. I also loved how it came in an eco-friendly sized box. I hate products that come in boxes that are totally unnecessary for its size.

I am so fortunate that we had the opportunity to try the Skuut out. You have to see it to believe it. It is one marvelous product. I just wish we had this when my son was younger! Oh the fun he would have had!

The Skuut is compact and lightweight enough to take it with us when we travel. My daughter can move it with ease and its design is what is so unbelievable. You can find retailers in your area from their website or you can purchase Skuut from online stores such as Savespro.com. Click here to see a list of retailers.

And now for the really terrific part (as if learning about it wasn't cool enough), Skuut would like to offer one lucky reader a Skuut bike!
