FYI: Giveaway

This is another reminder for all of you who are entering giveaways. You cannot enter the same entry twice. You cannot say "I follow you" or "Subscriber" multiple times in one giveaway contest. You also cannot enter the words "Daily Entry" - I don't accept that form of entry in any of my giveaways. The specific rules are stated in each giveaway.

I am having to go in and delete multiple comments which is becoming very time consuming. I do this to be fair to those who have followed the rules and entered the maximum number of times correctly. Winners are not handpicked, therefore I cannot just ignore the multiple comments. Random.org is used to determine the winners and inaccurate entries can affect the outcome. If you cannot follow the rules properly, I may have to delete your comments all together.

Thank you for participating and I hope I have made this easy to understand. If not, please comment.

  1. That does sound annoying. Thats kind of you to make it as fair as possible.

I have a question though, following through blogger and subscribing by email feeder are two different things? Is that what you mean?

just making sure I'm following proper giveaway etiquette. : )

  2. Yes, they are two different things and can be entered as two separate entries. However, I have some readers entering "I subscribe" on Monday, then again on Tuesday and again on Friday. That's what I mean by repeat entries and that is not allowed. For each giveaway, you can only enter one time for each entry category. I hope that made sense. :)

  3. You can enter "I subscribe by email (leave email address)" and "I subscribe to your feed" as two separate entries. Yes, that is allowed.

  5. I know...what's sad is I have posted numerous "rules" postings and the same reader keeps entering multiple repeat comments in the same giveaway (on different days). I can't have someone doing that and not delete them in the end. It just wouldn't make the outcome fair. Also, they have no email address posted so I can't even contact them to let them know. :/ Argh!
