"In the summer of 2006, my daughter Danielle learned how to crochet over flip-flops. She went under and over the straps so fast, my eyes couldn't keep up with her hand motions. She was making flip-flops with different colored yarns for her friends and family. I thought to myself, what a great idea! You can pick your yarn color with your choice of flip-flop.

We went to the store and bought a bunch of flip-flops and started making them made of rubber and bamboo in an assortment of colors and designs. After each flip-flop was made, we would look at it and smile at each other with pride. Danielle decided to call the flip-flops, Flippie Slippies since you can wear them as slippers in the house or outside as a flip-flop. The Flippie Slippies keep your toes warm when you get out of your bath or shower. You can even wear the flippie slippies to go outside to get the newspaper or take the dog for a walk in the morning. The Flippie Slippies are 2 shoes in one. This is how it all began.

Danielle has always been a very creative person. As Danielle’s mother, I decided to take her creativity and take it a step further by starting this business venture. At 10 years of age, Danielle has dreams and goals to become a fashion designer. We’ll see where this all leads as she dances her way through life."

I was able to customize a pair for my daughter. I chose their Butterfly and Stripes Rubber Flip-Flops. After I had my shoe choice, I was able to dress them up with their yarn selection. My daughter loves to wear flip-flops and she loves slippers. The Flippie Slippie is the perfect combination for her! She adores her new shoes. The yarn is fluffy and full and looks really cute on her small little feet. I was surprised at how much I loved them once they arrived.
