The Spoon Sisters

Here's a fun way to add some creativity to your child's food! I'm talking about these cute Silicone Letter Ice Trays from The Spoon Sisters.

I had the pleasure to test these out. My kids loved them! They were very easy to use and the silicone made it super easy to take the ice out of the trays. We put the letters in their drinks and hot soups and they couldn't stop asking for more. I'm definitely going to try jello next. What fun that will be!

Here's some info from their website:

"Brand new kid on the block...the Symbol Tray is now available! Symbols such as question mark, quote marks, @ sign, exclamation will add to the fun of what you spell out. As seen in Rachael Ray, Parenting, Better Homes and Gardens Magazine and Daily Candy! Forget about thinking outside the box, now it’s time to think...inside AND outside the drinking glass! These trays are constructed of FDA approved silicone, so they work in freezer, fridge, or oven. To say it with food or ice cubes, all you have to do is pick your medium. Imagine spelling out I Love You in ice letters….teaching little ones to count with Jello numbers…or saying Happy Birthday in shortbread cookies…the possibilities are endless. Choose from Letters sold as a set of 3 for $19.95, Numbers sold as a single tray for $9.95, or buy the set of Letters and Numbers for $29.90."

I think every mom should have a set of these on hand. They are too cute for words! You can really use them to jazz up any meal. I love the butter idea on the pancakes in the photo above. What a sweet breakfast that would be for Father's Day!

  2. This would be an interesting way to teach a math lesson, especially if you used fruit juices instead of water to make the cubes. Just keep it fast enough that they don't melt before the end of the lesson and then eat the lesson!
