I use them at the grocery store, hauling all of my kids' stuff around and just about anywhere I need a quick bag to use.My Ultimate hotSACKS Bag Set is the best! My 5 bag set includes: Four larger Essential hotSACKS bags that fit neatly inside a smaller Everyday hotSACKS carry bag. It's so perfect to use when I'm out shopping and it will be great when we travel. I love that it's all in one convenient set. Oh and let's not forget to mention very chic! These hotSACKS are real

These reusable bulk bags are strong enough for produce and make a great alternative to disposable plastic bags. These innovative bags come in four different colors that coordinate with their Everyday, Essential and Ultimate hotSACKS - orange, purple, blue and green. They are fully recyclable and made from 100% Polyethylene Resin.

ReplyDeleteUsing cloth sacks has been the biggest one for late 2008 -- planning on continuing that into 2009, and also planning on more closely monitoring our electrical usage (replacing bulbs, not leaving chargers & appliances plugged in continuously, etc).

ReplyDeleteI love that hotSACKS has earned the right to use the EcoLogo, North America's most widely recognized and respected certification of environmental leadership.
ReplyDeleteUsing bags like these instead of wasteful plastic bags. (We have been doing things like recylcing paper and plastic through our trash company for years so that is one "habit" that we are used to.) Also, just trying to use less electricity.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great GREEN giveaway.

ReplyDeleteWe just got back from visiting my parents for the holidays and they have inspired me to recycle more. They had three different boxes for paper, cardboard, and plastic.

ReplyDeleteI just returned from the hotSACKS website and learned that the company who manufactures the bags has policies that include no child labour, and ensure fair health conditions. That's important to me.
ReplyDeleteLets see...try to potty train my 2.5 year old...Ok, all joking aside, I am going to try to be better about turning off lights when they aren't needed.

I'm hoping to do more of a garden this year, although with baby due in April, that's kind of up in the air depending how the whole newborn phase goes, if gardening doesn't happen, lots of farmer's market shopping will LOL. I'll also be using a combination of cloth diapers & EC with this baby.
ReplyDeleteThis year, I want to finish swapping out all of our lightbulbs and I want to switch from using paper towels to dishcloths. I also want to start using reusable bags exclusively when we go shopping

Well, this year, one of the biggest things I am going to do to go green is not to buy bottled water, and I am going to try making my own detergent, because that is another way to cut down not only on cost but toxic waste. We are cutting back on errand trips, electricity, and water use. I also have my eye on a hybrid car (we have a small used car lot and it is on the lot) If I play my cards right, I just might be driving it, lol.

This saves buying paper towels and wrapping paper to save on trees. We also make ornaments out of cardboard like snowflakes painting them white and sprinkle with sparkle to use them for many years to come. You can also cut out other templates to top off packages with that can be reused by the receiver. We also make a bunch of these tags and toppers and wrap them as gifts to give so others have them for there gifts to give as well and I also make postcards out of old Christmas cards or any kind of card. This way we are reusing and saving Thousands of trees.
