hotSACKS

This giveaway is now closed with 215 comments! Thank you to all who entered. Congratulations to the lucky winner ~ Miss Blondie!

2009 will be a green year for me. I'm really going to try to provide environmentally better products for my family. I am so thrilled that I have my hotSACKS to take with me everywhere! I use them at the grocery store, hauling all of my kids' stuff around and just about anywhere I need a quick bag to use.

My Ultimate hotSACKS Bag Set is the best! My 5 bag set includes: Four larger Essential hotSACKS bags that fit neatly inside a smaller Everyday hotSACKS carry bag. It's so perfect to use when I'm out shopping and it will be great when we travel. I love that it's all in one convenient set. Oh and let's not forget to mention very chic! These hotSACKS are really trendy. Like their website says, "This 5 bag set is made for serious shopping, and can hold a week's groceries for a family of four."

I also had the pleasure to review their Meshy hotSACKS. These reusable bulk bags are strong enough for produce and make a great alternative to disposable plastic bags. These innovative bags come in four different colors that coordinate with their Everyday, Essential and Ultimate hotSACKS - orange, purple, blue and green. They are fully recyclable and made from 100% Polyethylene Resin.

As you can see, this Canadian company is on a mission to create affordable and re-usable bags that are fashionable and functionable. As the company's founder Diana says, "Let’s get carried away helping the environment!” I love her message and I'll never go back to plastic bags again now that I have my hotSACKS. They are my absolute favorite!

You'll love them too! Here is your chance to own your very own Ultimate hotSACKS set and Meshy hotSACKS to match!

Using cloth sacks has been the biggest one for late 2008 -- planning on continuing that into 2009, and also planning on more closely monitoring our electrical usage (replacing bulbs, not leaving chargers & appliances plugged in continuously, etc).

  6. Using bags like these instead of wasteful plastic bags. (We have been doing things like recylcing paper and plastic through our trash company for years so that is one "habit" that we are used to.) Also, just trying to use less electricity.

Thanks for a great GREEN giveaway.

Well, this year, one of the biggest things I am going to do to go green is not to buy bottled water, and I am going to try making my own detergent, because that is another way to cut down not only on cost but toxic waste. We are cutting back on errand trips, electricity, and water use. I also have my eye on a hybrid car (we have a small used car lot and it is on the lot) If I play my cards right, I just might be driving it, lol.

This saves buying paper towels and wrapping paper to save on trees. We also make ornaments out of cardboard like snowflakes painting them white and sprinkle with sparkle to use them for many years to come. You can also cut out other templates to top off packages with that can be reused by the receiver. We also make a bunch of these tags and toppers and wrap them as gifts to give so others have them for there gifts to give as well and I also make postcards out of old Christmas cards or any kind of card. This way we are reusing and saving Thousands of trees.
